PAINTINGS
Nei lavori pittorici la mia ricerca si è concentrata sullo studio dei supporti e dei media, fattori basilari per dare dinamismo e profondità alle mie opere. In questa ricerca, al di là dei soliti e consolidati materiali, come tele, legno, cartone, gesso, colle ed altri materiali, la mia attenzione è stata catturata dal polistirene. Questo è un materiale che viene utilizzato frequentemente ogni giorno in ambito edile. Serve soprattutto per l'isolamento termico ed acustico delle strutture abitative. Questo materiale l’ho utilizzato molto spesso come supporto al posto di una tela e come materia primaria per la realizzazione dei miei lavori, allo stesso tempo. Volevo rassicurare i miei clienti sulla robustezza e durata nel tempo dei quadri realizzati con questo materiale. Restano inalterati nel tempo alla stessa stregua delle tele.
In the paintings works my research has focused on the study of supports and media, basic factors to give dynamism and depth to my works. In this research, beyond the usual and consolidated materials, such as canvas, wood, cardboard, plaster, glues and other materials, my attention was captured by polystyrene. This is a material that is used frequently every day in the construction industry. It is mainly used for the thermal and acoustic insulation of residential structures. I have used this material very often as a support instead of a canvas and as a primary material for the realization of my works, at the same time. I wanted to reassure my clients about the sturdiness and durability of the paintings made with this material. They remain unchanged over time like the canvas.
